Northwest Minnesota Arts Council Traveling Art Exhibit Visits Hallock

The NWMAC sponsors an annual Traveling Art Exhibit, which visits northwest Minnesota communities throughout the year. The exhibit includes 15 original pieces of art by regional adult artists, chosen from works submitted for our annual juried exhibit. The exhibit is currently at the Hallock Public Library until April 27.

Traveling Art Exhibit Visits Hallock Public Library

The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council (NWMAC) is proud to sponsor the Traveling Art Exhibit which will be visiting northwest Minnesota communities throughout 2017.  The exhibit is currently at its first destination, the Hallock Pubic Library. The Traveling Art Exhibit includes original artwork by regional adult and high-school artists. It began its journey at the NWMAC’s juried Regional Exhibit held at Norman County West High School, Halstad MN in April of this year.

Artists selected this year to participate in the Traveling Art Exhibit are:  Adults: Alicia Spilde of Karlstad; Judy Szklarski of Argyle; Elijah Neufeld and Susan Neufeld of Beltrami; Paulette Christianson of Badger; Jill Levene of Angus; Lucille Nelson of Argyle; Macy Larson of Euclid ; and Students:  Kendra Jensen and Jordan Nelson of Goodridge, Josiah Dyrud of Thief River Falls, Taylor Wynn Skalet and Chex Gerber of Halstad and Ellie Manomai of Fertile.

Artwork selected for this exclusive traveling exhibit is a collection of diverse subjects in a variety of visual media including: acrylic painting, printmaking, pencil drawing, watercolor painting, conte crayon drawing, ink drawing, sculpture, glass, and mixed media. Pieces were chosen for originality, distinctive style, portability, and presentation.

The Traveling Art Exhibit will be on display at the Hallock Public Library, 101 1st Street E, Hallock, MN 56728 from May 10 through the end of June. Phone (218) 843-2401 for library hours. The exhibit will be visiting the following libraries this year:

The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council’s Traveling Art Exhibit Has Moved Again!

Warren’s Godel Memorial Library is one of seven northwest Minnesota venues selected to host the exhibit this year. The Traveling Art Exhibit, all original artworks by ten regional adult and high-school artists, began at the NWMAC’s juried Regional Exhibit held in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, in April and May of this year.

 

Artwork selected for this exclusive exhibit expresses diverse subjects in a wide variety of visual media: watercolor, reductive print, acrylic painting, photographs, pencil drawing, mosaic, wood-burning technique, and pen and ink. Pieces were chosen for originality, distinctive style, and presentation.

Warren: Traveling Mini Art Exhibit

The Traveling Mini Art Exhibit sponsored by the Northwest Regional Arts Council (NWMAC) has arrived at its final destination in Warren, MN.

After traveling to regional libraries throughout the summer and autumn of 2014, it has now arrived at the Godel Library at 314 E. Johnson St. The origin of this year’s Traveling Mini Art Exhibit was NWMAC’s annual Regional Exhibit held in Middle River, Minnesota in April 2014.

JulieIbanezThe 2014 Traveling Mini Art Exhibit includes original paintings, mosaic, drawings, pastel, prints, and clay pottery, including Jan Osborn’s adult-merit-award winning pen & ink drawing of the Settler’s Cabin at Old Mill State Park. Other subjects include wildlife, self-portraits, and objects to warm one’s memory, all wonderfully rendered with design, color, and creativity.

The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council would like to thank all the participating artists for submitting their talents, and all the libraries who hosted this year’s Traveling Mini Art Exhibit for making this exhibit possible for people of the entire northwest region to enjoy!

The Traveling Mini Art Exhibit will be appearing appearing at Godel Memorial Library until Wednesday, December 3rd during regular library hours.

A Mini Art Exhibit sponsored by the Northwest Regional Arts Council (NWMAC) is traveling to seven regional libraries in the coming months. The NWMAC’s annual Regional Exhibit held in Middle River MN in April provided the fifteen impressive pieces of artwork for our annual Traveling Mini Art Exhibition.
The Traveling Mini Art Exhibit includes original paintings, photography, drawings, pastels, and clay pottery. Several of the artworks are award winning pieces selected by the show’s juror, Mary Therese of Bemidji, Minnesota.
Artists whose work was chosen for the mini exhibition are (adult artists): Alberta Johnson, and Jan Osborn, Thief River Falls; Mollie Rae Miller, Roseau; Susan Neufeld, Beltrami; Annethea Novacek, Greenbush; and (student artists): Brandi Lee, Halstad; Jaydn Rosell, Climax; Samantha Kraulik, Wannaska; Caleb Richardson, Thief River Falls; Elijah Neufeld, Beltrami; Skye Tillotson, Ada; Kiara Anderson, St. Hilaire; and Bryan Sanchez, Julie Ibanez, and Brooke Panzer, all of Crookston.
The Traveling Mini Art Exhibit will be appearing at Crookston’s Public Library until Wednesday, June 4th. Afterward, the exhibit will be open to the public at the following libraries during regular hours on the following dates:
