Acting Workshop! :TRFACT’s

TRF ACTS!

There will be a FREE acting workshop Friday, March 20 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. on the Northland Community & Technical College Theater stage.

Commonweal Theatre CompanyThis workshop will be lead by professional actors from Lanesboro
Commonweal Theatre.  And you are cordially invited to participate!

At 7:30 p.m. that night, the Commonweal will be presenting a play by Henrik Ibsen entitled “The Master Builder”.  This company was here two years ago and presented “A Doll’s House.”  They were superb–you won’t want to miss this!

Tickets for “The Master Builder” are available at the door and are just $5.00, thanks to Legacy funding.  Don’t miss either of these
opportunities!

MollieRaeMiller-detailThe Traveling Mini Art Exhibit sponsored by the Northwest Regional Arts Council (NWMAC) has visited five regional libraries throughout the summer and autumn to date. It has now arrived in Roseau at the Public Library in Roseau City Center. This art exhibit is comprised of a small selection from NWMAC’s Regional Exhibit which was held in Middle River, Minnesota in April 2014, and showcases fifteen regionally made pieces of artwork.

SamanthaKraulikPeacefulLionThe Traveling Mini Art Exhibit includes original paintings, mosaic, drawings, pastel, prints, and clay pottery, including Jan Osborn’s adult-merit-award winning pen & ink drawing of the Settler’s Cabin at Old Mill State Park, and student Brooke Panzer’s horse-hair pottery, voted People’s Choice winner. Other subjects include wildlife, self-portraits, and objects to warm one’s memory, all wonderfully rendered with design, color, and creativity.

AnnetheaNovacek-2Artists whose work was chosen for the mini exhibition are (adult artists): Mollie Rae Miller, Roseau; Alberta Johnson, and Jan Osborn, Thief River Falls; Annethea Novacek, Greenbush; Susan Neufeld, Beltrami; and (student artists): Samantha Kraulik, Wannaska; Caleb Richardson, Thief River Falls;  Kiara Anderson, St. Hilaire; Bryan Sanchez, Julie Ibanez, and Brooke Panzer, all of Crookston; Brandi Lee, Halstad; Jaydn Rosell, Climax;  Elijah Neufeld, Beltrami; and Skye Tillotson, Ada.

JanOsborneSettlersCabin-1The Traveling Mini Art Exhibit is now appearing at Roseau’s Public Library until Friday, November 7th. Afterward, the exhibit will be open to the public at the following library during regular hours on the following dates:

  • Warren Godel Library November 8 – December 3
