Call to artists: 2019 Spring Art Crawl in Fosston May 2

The date has been set for May 2 from 3-7pm in the streets of Fosston for the 2019 Spring Art Crawl!  The night’s activities will close with an open house reception at the Sorenson Gallery, a chance to connect with business owners and artists.  If you are an artist interested in being paired with a business for the evening, please let them know!  This is a perfect opportunity to showcase your art, have great exposure to new clients and possibly make some sales or commissions! Reach out to Barbara at 218-230-4119 or Bonnie at 218-280-9176.

Looking ahead, later this spring, watch for the installation of Fosston’s first piece of public art to be located on Fosston’s Fit Trail.  With a nod to the area’s Nordic heritage, metalsmith Jeff Olson has been commissioned to craft an interactive Viking ship to grace the Fit Trail.  In September, the Arts & Culture Commission hopes to sponsor a studio crawl to coincide with Heritage Days and the Forged in Fosston events.  For more information on how to become involved in this summer’s Studio Crawl, feel free to contact the Arts & Culture Commission (Barbara at 218-230-4119 or Bonnie at 218-280-9176).

Part of the Arts & Culture Commission’s mission is to enrich the human experience, reinforce Fosston’s identity and civic pride through arts and culture, and recognize the importance of arts to our quality of life and to the local economy.
