INTO THE WOODS

Step into a magical world where storybook characters come to life and weave their stories into a musical tale when the Thief River Falls Area Community Theater brings Stephen Sondheim’s masterpiece “Into the Woods” to the Northland College Theater from June 20-25 at 7 p.m. each evening.
With a cast of 20 veteran performers under the direction of Gretchen Weinrich (general director), Sherry Knott (vocal director) and Phil McKenzie (orchestra), “Into the Woods” is bound to please audiences of all ages. Brianna Helm will serve as piano accompanist in the orchestra pit.
The cast includes Jonathan Mansk-Mysterious Man/Narrator; Brenna Skallet-Cinderella; Andrew Hanson-Jack; Diane Krause-Jack’s Mother; Isaiah Burkel-Baker; Leah Wattenphul-Baker’s Wife; DJ Parenteau-Cinderella’s Stepmother; Nicole Rairdon-Florinda; Anna M. Barth-Lucinda; Scott Pream-Cinderella’s Father; Jocelyn Hams-Little Red Ridinghood; Jane Anderson-Witch; Sherry Knott-Cinderella’s Mother/Giant; Ginger Kirkeby-Stumbo- Rapunzel; Tyson Panek-Rapunzel’s Prince; Max Kuhlhammer-Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince; Alexis Lane-Steward; Rene Mooney-Granny; Grace Brickson-Snow White; and Shelby Pahlen-Sleeping Beauty.
Emma Halvorson will serve as stage manager, with costumes by Jane Anderson, prop and set design by Philip Hoks, lights and sound by Max Anderson and Liam Liden.
Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased at Pennington Main, Pennington Square, Digikey’s East Entrance during business hours, and at the door. Also, patrons may purchase a Flexpass good for three performances of bearer’s choice. Flexpasses are only available at Digikey.
