Healing Through Art Training Workshop

IMG_0900Trey Everett of Crookston, Minnesota will be hosting an ‘Instruct the Instructor’ Event at three different locations through out the summer.

Trey applied for a grant through the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council and was awarded funds to create this program.  The program will consist of explaining and training participants to effectively teach and lead their own ‘Healing through Art’ programs.

HEALING THROUGH ART TRAINING WORKSHOP

Have you ever wanted to help others by hosting a “Healing though Art” workshop?  Have you felt that you have been called to help others but you don’ t know how, don’t think you can or don’t think you have a talent for it?  Then this is the workshop for you!

“Healing through Art” is a curriculum based series of classes that will help you build a steady clientele and help others heal by using simple art techniques.

There will be hands on training, ways on how to budget this type of program, and various options you can choose to make a weeks long course or a one day event.  Anyone and everyone can do this!  And best of all…IT’S FREE!

healhandTrey says, “If you are a teacher, health or human services worker, hospice worker, care giver, assisted living or nursing home staff, library staff, public and private educator, lay worker, pastor, or if you are just interested in helping others become more healthy in body, mind, and spirit through creativity then this training workshop is for you.”

The Minnesota State Arts Board is offering a free one-hour Webinar to help applicants prepare to apply for the Arts Tour Minnesota grant program. This session will be particularly helpful for first-time applicants.
Program officer Bonnie Schock will walk through the program overview and instructions, and provide background information about what the review panel will look for in an application. At the end of the session, there will be an opportunity to submit questions online.
The session is offered as a conference call with an option to view a PowerPoint presentation online. The presenter will be located in an office that cannot accommodate visitors, so please note that it isn’t possible to attend the session in person.
To make the session more useful to you, we suggest that you read the program overview and application instructions in advance and print out a copy for your reference. This document can be found on the Arts Tour Minnesota program page.
