Mn Artists Training Workshop
Mn Artists will visit Bemidji for a lively workshop and discussion on artists’ participation in digital communities. They will review how to best use Mn Artists’ online professional development tools, recommended for artists who want to improve their online presence and connect to more opportunities, communities, and conversations, both locally and regionally.
Mn Artists is home to art, writing, opportunities and conversation, online and off, by, for and about Midwestern artists working in every discipline. A program of the Walker Art Center, Mn Artists is dedicated to improving the quality and national visibility of regionally-rooted art, artists and cultural dialogue through a dynamic online community, responsive arts journalism, and by giving artists access to, and connections with, collaborators, influencers and the public.

The MnArtists.org workshop was well-attended and very successful! All in attendance were able to learn the basics of setting
up their own web page on MnArtists.org, and to begin the process of refining it with their own information.
Jehra Patrick and Emily Gastineau used their wealth
of information to streamline the process, making it user-friendly for all who attended.
Emily Gastineau (next to the TV), Brenda Baumer, Robin Foster, Jean Westman, Jeanne O’Neil, Valerie (LaVonne Forsberg’s daughter), Julie Kiesow (LaVonne’s sister), LaVonne, Sue Jacobson,
Candace Osborn, Asha Osborn, and Jehra Patrick (helping Jeanne O’Neil and others).
Jehra pointed out the website’s “help” link leading to a series of helpful tutorial videos on most every topic answering user questions.
Time well spent!
