Join Us for a Conversation on State Grants

Kathee Foran, Program Officer with the Minnesota State Arts Board, will be in our part of the state April 30 – May 2.

The Minnesota State Arts Board has eleven programs that aim to foster opportunities for all Minnesotans to participate in the arts. Their grant programs are open to artists and arts organizations, but many programs are also open to schools, health and human service organizations, senior centers, cities, and other types of non-arts organizations that are interested in partnering with artists to bring arts activities into their work.

Kathee will be in northwest Minnesota and available to meet with residents in the following towns:

Sunday, April 30, 12:00 pm – 1:45 pm Halstad (before the Artist Reception)

Monday, May 1, 10:00 am – Noon Crookston

Monday, May 1, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Thief River Falls

Tuesday, May 2, 10:30 am – Noon Roseau

Tuesday, May 2, 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm Red Lake Falls

You can have a casual conversation, or you can focus in on a specific idea. She will have information on their programs, including who is eligible to apply, what types of projects can be funded, how the application process works, and more. If you are already considering applying, we could spend time talking about tips crafting applications.

If you’re interested in meeting, please let Kathee know and she’ll reserve an appointment for you.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact her or the NWMAC.  She is looking forward to meeting you.
