The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council is pleased to announce that the 4th edition of our Artists of Northwest Minnesota booklet is available for retail locations and others who are interested. This is a marketing booklet that will be distributed throughout our region.
The booklet includes information about a variety of creative people and artists, including visual artists, dancers, bands, musicians, performing artists, and theater directors, editors, writers and fine crafters. The booklet helps those who are listed reach out to the general public and is a means to help the public “get in touch with them” to purchase art, book them, or have them provide a service.
Arts organizations, dance studios, stores with local art, local suppliers of supplies and materials for artists, coffee shops that have open mic or live bands often, etc. are included in the back of the booklet.
Please let us know if you would like copies to distribute or for yourself. To view the booklet online click here.

Visitors were able to meet Artist Jeanne O’Neil at the Artist Reception on Saturday, November 11 at the River Walk Artist Gallery in East Grand Forks. The exhibit will be open until December 16. Make sure to stop by and see it if you haven’t had a chance. Jeanne and her group North Country Fiddle and Dance even played music for the crowd at the reception. It has finally arrived! Northwest Minnesota Arts Council proudly presents the latest rendition of our “Artists of Northwest Minnesota” booklet! This directory lists visual artists, photographers, and fine craft artists who answered our call for entries. It also features art sites and arts groups within our 7 county service area.
We started taking entries for this booklet from area artists and arts organizations back in the spring of 2014. We want to give special thanks to Chris Lane of Newfolden for his hard work on the design, layout and typography, as well as Bradner Printing of Crookston who answered the call for printing this important arts publication.
Northwest Minnesota Arts Council Executive Director Mara Hanel writes,
Art enriches our homes, offices, public spaces, and our wardrobe. We invite you to contact one of our local wrists and purchase their original artwork. Our artists play an important part in building our communities. They are small businesses trying to grow and prosper in our area. Your support is important.
This booklet will be available at area libraries and retail locations, or you can request a copy be sent to you directly. All artists and organizations who paid their entry fee will be notified when the booklets are ready to be distributed.
