About Trey:
Trey Everett will be showcasing his most recent work from the past 11 months. “Since March of last year I have been delving into local and international political and editorial illustration work. Working with the Crookston Times I submit an illustration each week which keeps me on my toes and has helped me hone skills of translating ideas in my head into images on paper, which can be very challenging!”

Some of Everett’s latest work also includes images for the Revised Common Lectionary Year A that runs from December 1, 2019 to November 26, 2020. For this series Everett has been working on and developing a style of pen and ink art called Neo Traditional. “It’s a bold, realistic stylized art that incorporates nature symbolism. Neo Traditional is also recognized as a tattoo style art work.” Everett will be showing a wide variety of his pen and ink artwork from past years as well. (Instagram: @treyeverettcreates)

About Annie:
Annie Fitzgerald’s music has been described as “a blend of Tori Amos’ intellectual appeal, Sarah McLachlan’s mystical charm and Edie Brickell’s baroque spirit” (Jamsphere). Honored by the Songwriters Hall of Fame as an artist to watch, Fitzgerald released her second album You & Me & the Sun on June 1st, 2018. Produced by Danny O’Brien (The Farewell Circuit, Dem Yuut), the album finds Fitzgerald joining gifted Minneapolis musicians and shaping a textured folk-pop sound mixed with the raw vitality of rock-and-roll. Since her first release In Good Time, Fitzgerald spent time a part of the NYC Indie scene, started a family, and welcomed a move back to her home state of MN and a newfound sense of space to create. You & Me & the Sun explores connection, vulnerability, love, and sparks in the span of time navigating the balance between motherhood & her life as a songwriter. (www.anniefitzgerald.com)

The Fournet Experience

Opening April 2nd

5:00-9:00 pm

Andy Hall, owner of Sweetlight Gallery, will open co-exhibition The Fournet Experience
Andy will be displaying still photographs that he created while exploring the interior of Crookston’s historic, architectural gem. The still images will be set amongst architectural salvage pieces from the Fournet Building. Sarah Wagner will be joining Andy with her 360° Virtual Reality panoramas that give you a sense of being inside the building. The Fournet building was built in 1885 from the designs of Grand Forks architect, J.W. Ross. Over the years, the building has been both residential and commercial. Tenants have included a law firm, a grocery store, a dental office, a hardware store, a liquor store and in 1907 the Fournet building opened the first furniture store in NW Minnesota. Andy and Sarah were fortunate to have captured a small sampling of the beauty of this historical building and are excited to bring it to you.
The Fournet Experience opens Tuesday, April 2nd 5-9PM and continues through May 25th during regular business hours.
