Free Dance Residency Programs for K-12 Schools

Attention Teachers & Administrators!

Dance Without Barriers 2021/2022 School Year Applications Now Open!

The Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts offers free dance residency programs to K-12 schools throughout MN. A large part of their program is to reach remote area schools through virtual distance learning. They have been offering this free program since 2004, reaching over 2,000 students each year. They want to reach more greater MN schools as they know access to quality dance education can be sparse.

More information below and HERE.

Dance without Barriers is The Cowles Center’s K-12 dance residency program open to K-12 schools throughout Minnesota. Teaching Artists visit classrooms –- either in-person or virtually (they’ve had plenty of practice and success with virtual residencies in the last year!) –- to lead 3 to 5 day residences guided by your curriculum.

Thanks to generous sponsorship, these residencies are free to select Minnesota schools – apply today!

In the meantime, explore their Brain Breaks videos which showcase the diversity and personality of their fabulous Teaching Artists!
