Did you know the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) offers a selection of classes throughout the school year for teens? Many Continuing Education (CE) classes are open to teens ages 16 and above. There are also several classes available this fall specifically for high school students. Whether your teen is preparing for college or simply exploring their interests, MCAD’s CE classes offer the chance to learn from professional artists at one of the top art and design colleges in the Midwest.

Experience an MCAD studio class in a two-day, hands-on intensive. Working with skilled instructors, students will work on a comic art or animation project in an immersive learning environment. Classes feature technical demonstrations, discussions with visiting artists, and information sessions with admission counselors about portfolio development and the art school application process.

Portfolio Preparation 

Saturdays, Sept 29–Oct 27 (No class October 20)

Develop exemplary observational drawing for your college portfolio while working with still-life, landscape, and figurative subject matter. Professional nude models will be used in this class.
