NWMAC Traveling Mini Art Exhibit
The Traveling Mini Art Exhibit sponsored by the Northwest Regional Arts Council (NWMAC) has visited five regional libraries throughout the summer and autumn to date. It has now arrived in Roseau at the Public Library in Roseau City Center. This art exhibit is comprised of a small selection from NWMAC’s Regional Exhibit which was held in Middle River, Minnesota in April 2014, and showcases fifteen regionally made pieces of artwork.
The Traveling Mini Art Exhibit includes original paintings, mosaic, drawings, pastel, prints, and clay pottery, including Jan Osborn’s adult-merit-award winning pen & ink drawing of the Settler’s Cabin at Old Mill State Park, and student Brooke Panzer’s horse-hair pottery, voted People’s Choice winner. Other subjects include wildlife, self-portraits, and objects to warm one’s memory, all wonderfully rendered with design, color, and creativity.
Artists whose work was chosen for the mini exhibition are (adult artists): Mollie Rae Miller, Roseau; Alberta Johnson, and Jan Osborn, Thief River Falls; Annethea Novacek, Greenbush; Susan Neufeld, Beltrami; and (student artists): Samantha Kraulik, Wannaska; Caleb Richardson, Thief River Falls; Kiara Anderson, St. Hilaire; Bryan Sanchez, Julie Ibanez, and Brooke Panzer, all of Crookston; Brandi Lee, Halstad; Jaydn Rosell, Climax; Elijah Neufeld, Beltrami; and Skye Tillotson, Ada.
