In June of 2013 NWMAC awarded $5,120 to the Fertile 4H club to help provide community youth with a Natural Play Space.
Fertile 4H bought instruments for the park including a soprano metallophone with a rain wheel and a double tongue wooden drum.
In October of 2013 and March of 2014, the 4H group worked with Elizabeth Rockstad of Studio 4:13 (Ada, Mn) who helped children make wind chimes at the park. The two workshops and the instruments were all provided for by NWMAC and the state of Minnesota legislation’s, voter approved appropriation of funds for arts and cultural heritage.
